About Us

Pip and Pete Gardner have been in various forms of Christian ministry and leadership since the 80's both locally and internationally and in church and in mission settings. These roles include pioneering new ministries in international contexts; teaching; leading worship and discipling new believers.

We are from an evangelical charismatic background and currently reside in the UK. We came to faith in our mid – late teens and met and married in 1984 whilst working in a pioneering mission movement in Wales.

The idea for the website developed after we received a number of requests from new believers for biblical studies on the foundations of faith and also requests from mature believers for studies to help disciple new believers. These requests resonated with a prophetic word that the Lord had spoken into our hearts in 2003. The major exhortation of this word was to “get ready for crisis and get ready for harvest”; so we began to collate our teaching notes from over the years into a format that can be easily communicated.

We have put together these studies to provide a format for individual study and for one-on-one or small groups. For the latter, these studies may be used as a catalyst around which discussions, questions or testimonies may develop. We have tried to include in each topic stories from our own lives to highlight principles and practical application from our experiences, failures and challenges. We have given some principles for making disciples in the Foundations Core Studies section of the website which we have found helpful in our experience.

These studies are free for you to download.

    We believe in:
  • The one true God who lives eternally in three persons — the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
  • The love, grace and sovereignty of God in creating, sustaining, ruling, redeeming and judging the world.
  • The divine inspiration and supreme authority of the Old and New Testament Scriptures, which are the written Word of God—fully trustworthy for faith and conduct.
  • The dignity of all people, made male and female in God's image to love, be holy and care for creation, yet corrupted by sin, which incurs divine wrath and judgment.
  • The incarnation of God’s eternal Son, the Lord Jesus Christ — born of the virgin Mary; truly divine and truly human, yet without sin.
  • The atoning sacrifice of Christ on the cross: dying in our place, paying the price of sin and defeating evil, so reconciling us with God.
  • The bodily resurrection of Christ, the first fruits of our resurrection; his ascension to the Father, and his reign and mediation as the only Saviour of the world.
  • The justification of sinners solely by the grace of God through faith in Christ.
  • The ministry of God the Holy Spirit, who leads us to repentance, unites us with Christ through new birth, empowers our discipleship and enables our witness.
  • The Church, the body of Christ both local and universal, the priesthood of all believers — given life by the Spirit and endowed with the Spirit's gifts to worship God and proclaim the gospel, promoting justice and love.
  • The personal and visible return of Jesus Christ to fulfil the purposes of God, who will raise all people to judgment, bring eternal life to the redeemed and eternal condemnation to the lost, and establish a new heaven and new earth.
